KILLINGSWORTH

KILLINGSWORTH

Edward Killingsworth is well known for his participation in the Case Study Program . He built and designed CSH #25 also known as "The Frank House “ in Naples. This house made me interested in his designs. I would visit all the residential and commercial work from La Jolla to Long Beach and become obsessed with his work. Which brings me here to this home built in 1953 named the Seeley House .

I remember passing by the front of the house once before and only seeing a garage door and a small patio door. I always wondered what the interior looked like and had only seen photos of it in its original state. After a few years I was pleased to meet Nate Fosscole who is the current owner of the home and a good friend of mine. The home is filled with post and beam construction surrounded by glass walls with a minimal yet functional design space.
Nate did an amazing job in restoring this home.
The attention to detail in the interior with its Period Correct furniture and collection of architectural pottery is spot on. I'm sure Edward Killingsworth who was also a friend of Nate would be proud to see one of his homes restored and decorated how it was intended to be. I am also proud and thankful to Nate for allowing Period Correct to shoot against this masterpiece.
